Re: Greetings and Blessings from a "9"
Sun, May 13, 2007 - 2:03 AMNumber Nine is ruled by the planet of War- Mars(Mangal). Number Nine is made of 2 circles and is the sum of 2's and 4's. In the Vedic context, Mars is the Defence Minister in Almighty's Government. Mars represents the physical strength of the Cosmic Man. Words like Martial Arts, Martial Law are all derived from thsi celestial war-lord, Mars.
Number Nine people are born fighters in all aspects of life. Even while they are faced with extreme adversity, they emerge victorious in the end because of their mental strength, determination and courage. They are arbitrarians and never become slaves to anybody. They are very courageous and make the best soldiers. They are prone to accidents resulting from fire. They always quarrel with their friends and in-laws, and do not like advice. They love to be revered as big in their domestic life. While being very capable of forming organisations, if they do not get to play the leaders they often become the cause of destroying the organisation.
In Psychic Sciences, great importance has been given to the numbers7 and 9. While 7 represents the Underlying Divine Unity, 9 represents the Physical & material.
They usually have a militant attitude toward life and their life is marked with physical strains, struggle and strife. They believe in the principle "Attack is the best form of Defence". Their main drawback is that they jump into things without much forethought and suffer consequences thereby. -

Sat, July 21, 2007 - 10:30 PMscorp..where did you get that info? I always assumed that from what I have read that 9's generally are compassionate, philanthropic, generous, caring, ... etc.. opposite of being at war..

Sun, July 22, 2007 - 2:06 PMScor_dragon,
What type of numerology are you talking about? The numbers have different meanings in the different disciplines of numerology (ie Pathagorean vs Kabbalistic).
In the numerology I go by, 1 is associated with Mars, not 9. 9 is associated with the planet Uranus and Aquarius - visionary, humanitarian, philanthropic, social, dramatic, irratic, eccentric, determined, possibly also dogmatic, overly zealous, judgemental, unforgiving, stubborn, frivilous, insane.
All numbers and planets have both positive and negative correlations. The opposite or flip side of everything you state would be that 9s, when based on Mars in your system, would also be lawyers, freedom fighters, artists, musicians, athletes, dancers, explorers, or anything else that involves challenge, fighting against apathy and unjustness in society, or pushing the limits of one's body or mind. I personally associate all those things with 1, which matches up with Aries.
I personally give much more importance to the birthforce number (the sum of the full birth date) and do not give much attention to the day of birth number. It is mere flavor on top of all the other numbers. All the numbers are flavored by each other so that while 9s (whether psychic number or birthforce) will share many similar traits, they will inevitably defy most stereotypes. I did go and look up the birthdays of a wide range of historical figures and found this...
9 psychic number
Yoko Ono 2/18/1933 (also a 9 birthforce)
John Lennon 10/9/1940
Mia Farrow 2/9/1945
Brad Pitt 12/18/1963
Joseph Stalin 12/18/1878
While the last on the list was certainly a killer (in the name of a humanitarian ideal), I'd say the other four are great examples of humanitarian 9s.
Out of curiousity I also looked up a few that have 1 psychic numbers:
Pol Pot 5/19/1925 (5 birthforce)
Malcolm X 5/19/1925 (5 birthforce)
Princess Diana 7/1/1961 (7 birthforce)
One of the worst mass murderers of the 20th century, a powerful fighter for civil rights, and a humanitarian.
others with 1 birthforce are:
Napoleon Bonaparte 8/15/1769
Jacques Costeau 6/11/1910
Tiger Woods 12/30/1975
Karl Marx 5/5/1818
Marija Gimbutas 1/23/1921
Lech Walesa 9/29/1943
Military leader, explorer, minority golfer, social visionary, controversial archaeologist, and a worker's right advocate under communist rule.
