question - 6 day change over

topic posted Sat, October 20, 2007 - 9:37 PM by  MagicRose
I am very new to the study of numerology and am a little confused with one thing.

When working out your star sign, there is a bit where it says if you are within the 6 day period between each star sign then you are more one and a little of the other instead of just one. So for me that would mean im most Taurean and a little gemmini which sounds right.

Where i'm confused is, does this same technique apply to the day? Is there a 6 hour period between days as in between 9pm 3 am - if you were in this period would you be mostly from say the 20th but a little of the 19th? which would then change the whole ruling number?
I ask because i have always felt this way, i was born at 2.22am, if i read my clear number it says im a ruling 4 but really i have always been more of a ruling 3?? (which i would be a 3 if born 2.25 hours earlier?)

thanks for any advice, sorry if im a little confusing im using a odd keyboard

    Hi MagicRose,

I personally do not give weight to the idea that there are cusp signs. There are 30 degrees to each sign from 0 degrees to 29 degrees and 59 seconds. If by star sign you mean sun sign, then the sun passes through approximately 1 degree each day, so about 30 days a year in each sign. I consider 29 degrees 59 seconds Leo to be Leo, not Leo/Virgo cusp.

I am the same way with numbers. If you're born on a 4 day, in which I think you're meaning that the full date of your birth adds up to 4, then your birthforce number is 4, not 3, no matter what time within the day you were born. 2:22 am is rad time to be born, btw!

Just like in astrology, there are many many more parts of your chart to take into consideration to account for feeling like you are more like a 3 than a 4, the same way that, as in the example above, a Leo might claim to feel very Virgoan without having any Virgo planets in their chart (very likely because they have strong Mercury or earth in another planet in their chart or because of the house placement of their sun or another personal planet).

Have you gotten to the point where you know your full numerology? Including the numbers for your full birth name, persona, heart's desire, points of intensification, planes of expression, pinnacle and challenge cycles you are in, as well as essence? I'd bet you either have heavy 3s somewhere else in your numerology or you are interpreting a series of 6s or 9s as 3 traits.

OK Great, thats for that. I've always loved the 2.22am birth time he he. The only 3's I have are one 3 in my Given name namechart and 2 3's in my Family name namechart (also one of my peak numbers is 3 but i dont think that would have any relevance) would these 3's in my name explain anything? I'm still learning and can't wait to understand it all. A book came to me out of nowhere which is where I found out about numerology. I found 'Secrets of the Inner Self - The Complete Book of Numerology, Dr David A Phillips. Pythagoras' 1980 - this edition 86 (not updated)
So from that book I have gotten my Ruling number, Birthchart - meanings of individual numbers on birthchart, twelve aarows, Day number, Personal year number, Pyramid, Sun signs and power of Names, soul urge & outer expression numbers and complete name number.

I hope I am not missing out on anything! I was wondering if anything would have changed since 1980-1986 with this numerology book. i am not too sure if i worked out my soul urge, outer expression and complete name numbers properly.

And I was wondering if anybody could recommend any other numerology books or studies for me to read? Thanks!

Three 3s are considered above average by many numerologists who write on the subject, so that would be enough, especially if other points of intensification in your chart show low numbers elsewhere.

I have three 3s in my points of intensification and I don't consider myself very 3-like, though I do think I am a very creative person. I happen to have more 5s in my points of intensification than anyone else I've ever done a reading for (which is quite a bit since the first time I was introduced to numerology 7 years ago), plus a 5 heart's desire, so I identify more as a 5-type than a 3-type.

My last name also adds up to 30/3. I think of that as meaning that my family name confers upon it's members a certain amount of sensitivity to our environment, a desire to be social, and a need to be creative. For members of my family with 7s in their main numbers, that translates less to travel, education (learning and teaching), party organizing and freedom seeking (me with my 5s) and more towards introspection, spirituality, and focus (7). For one of my family members this manifests in the form of very creative and emotional (twelve 3s!), but also very deep and insightful (7 name number and heart's desire) poetry and short stories.

I like Juno Jordan's The Romance In Your Name. Newmerology by Nick Newmont has an extensive description of numbers, as does The King's Book of Numerology by Richard Andrew King. Be warned though! They all do numerology differently and the King book might be a bit esoteric or advanced, though he is really good at explanation.
